Brad Pitt’s F1 hit theatres globally on July 27 and has exceeded expectations with a stellar opening, both in the U.S. and international markets. Directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski and featuring appearances by real Formula One drivers, the film has earned approximately .5 million (₹328.5 crore) from 78 overseas markets in its first three days (Wednesday to Friday), including paid previews held earlier in the week.
🇮🇳 F1 Box Office Collection in India
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film — backed by Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer — had a strong start in India. On Friday, it earned an estimated ₹5.5 crore across all languages, with the English version contributing ₹5 crore. The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions saw lower collections.
On Saturday (Day 2), early estimates showed a significant jump, with earnings reaching around ₹8.5 crore, bringing the two-day total to ₹14 crore.
The film saw its strongest performance in major metro cities, including:
- Chennai leading at over 62% occupancy
- Hyderabad at 54%
- Bengaluru at 48%
In contrast, the Hindi version received a lukewarm response with just 10.6% occupancy, while Tamil regions showed moderate interest at 19%.
